Kim Kardashian West has inked an exclusive deal with streaming platform giant, Spotify Technology SA for a podcast which would focus on criminal justice issues; which have unsurprisingly become topics of national discussion following the killing of George Floyd in recent weeks.

The podcast will be only available on Spotify, and will be co-hosted and co-produced by both Kim Kardashian West and television producer, Lori Rothschild Ansaldi. It will follow Ansaldi’s scrutinization/investigation of the Kevin Keith case. Keith was found guilty and convicted of three murders in 1994. Keith has however maintained that he was innocent and despite several appeals in the Ohio Supreme Court, he has yet to be granted any hearings.

In recent times, Kim Kardashian has shown interest in law and criminal justice reform. She is currently pursuing an education in law through an apprenticeship at a San Francisco law firm and has expressed her desire to take the California Bar exam and become a lawyer, following in her father’s footsteps.

In 2018, Ms. Kardashian West advocated and sought clemency for Alice Marie Johnson, a 65 year old woman who was sentenced to life imprisonment for her involvement in a Memphis cocaine trafficking organization. Johnson had served 22 years of her life sentence in a federal penitentiary until President Trump, commuted her life sentence following his meeting with Kardashian West.
