Timbaland and Swizz Beatz sell #Verzuz TV to Triller

Verzuz TV, an online music platform was birthed in the midst of the pandemic by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, which started as Instagram Live discussions, has been acquired by social media and music streaming App, Triller.

Although the specifics of how much Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were paid remain shrouded in secrecy, the Grammy award winning producers will join the Board of Triller to “help oversee music and other company strategies.”

Additionally, both Timbo and Swizz will apportion part of their equity to all 43 of the artists who have been showcased on Verzuz TV till date.

Artists who have performed on the music platform include Babyface, Nelly, Jagged Edge, Fred Hammond, Jadakiss, John Legend, Johnta Austin, Scott Storch, T-Pain, Lil Jon, DJ Premier, Mannie Fresh, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Beenie Man, DMX, Alicia Keys, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Too $hort, Patti LaBelle, Gucci Mane, Jeezy, E-40, Bounty Killer, Ludacris, RZA, The Dream,Fabolous, Brandy, Monica, Gladys Knight, Kirk Franklin, Sean Garrett, Teddy Riley, and D’Angelo. Boi-1da, Hit-Boy, Ne-Yo, Bounty Killer, and 112.
