The COVID19 pandemic brought spontaneous lifestyle changes, laced with economic hardship, turmoil, and anti-social regulations. A lot of people have either been furloughed or completely lost their jobs worldwide, and talks of an economic recession run rampant. Due to these social changes, a lot of traditional employees are turning to social media as a means to earn income. Only Fans, Tik Tok, and Instagram are just few of the social media platforms that have noticed a significant increase in NAU’s (new active users).

In the past, Forbes, business Insider and other media outlets have reported celebrity income from social media with some influencers earning up to $1M per sponsored post.
